Sat Fi-2 Service Down Again?
Another two day outage is coming soon. Customer care knew nothing about this until I informed them.
Apparently, customer care isn’t on Globalstar’s email list. A really bad sign when customer support has to find out about company announcements from its customers. I can hear every MBA groaning from here.
The explanation is that Globalstar is upgrading their network, however, four days downtime in a thirty day period means something much more serious to me.
I hope the system isn’t in trouble or that Globalstar is ending the service without notice. They will not issue any refunds for these outages so don’t expect a rebate if they fold.
Very bad news for all of us working or playing beyond cell phone service and paying over fifty dollars each month. I want service when I’m stuck on an unnamed peak in a mountain range only five or six people have hiked in the last decade.
I’m not being a drama queen but this sattelite terminal isn’t a toy, it is a life saving device. Globalstar needs to treat it as such.
